Cargo News and Advisories
As of 1 November 2024 we will no longer be offering cargo services through our own office in Victoria. However, you will still be able to ship goods to and from Victoria through our valued partners, ensuring continued service with added flexibility.
For shipments to Victoria from Whitehorse, Dawson City, Old Crow or Inuvik
When you bring your shipment to an Air North Cargo office, you can choose from the following partners based on your preferences:
- Pacific Coastal: Transported by air with Air North to Vancouver, then to Victoria by air with Pacific Coastal.
- WestJet: Transported by air with Air North to Vancouver, then to Victoria by air with WestJet.
- Express Air International Ltd: Transported by air with Air North to Vancouver, then to Victoria by truck.
Our team will be happy to provide quotes for each carrier, or you can contact them directly to compare rates and determine the best option for your shipment.
For shipments from Victoria to Whitehorse, Dawson City, Old Crow or Inuvik
Select one of our partners to manage your shipment from Victoria:
- Pacific Coastal: Drop off your cargo at their office (1640 Electra Boulevard, Sidney, BC).
- WestJet: Contact them at 1.866.952.2746 to book your shipment, then drop off your cargo at their location (105 - 1740 Convair Place, Sidney, BC).
- Express Air International Ltd: Call 1.877.656.1411 to arrange for your shipment to be picked up and trucked to Vancouver for Air North Cargo transport. Express Air International will also provide you with an Air North waybill to complete.

We understand that this change may require some adjustment, but we are confident it will lead to faster and more frequent service options, as well as greater flexibility and competitive pricing to meet your needs.

Shipments of cash or legal tender by the general public cannot be accepted and will be refused by Air North Cargo. Shipments that are not declared and are discovered during security screening will be reported. Contents of any shipment must match the shippers’ declaration and any instances where the contents differ from the declaration will not be refused for carriage.

Please be advised that IKEA or other flat-pack furniture is not suitably packaged for air travel. If you wish to send flat-pack furniture via air cargo, we strongly advise repackaging it to ensure it travels safely. We reserve the right to deny the carriage of goods that are not properly packaged, or will ask customers to sign a waiver indicating that they understand the risk of shipping these goods without sufficient protection.
