Checking In
Passengers are now required to complete a health screening questionnaire online in order to complete the check in process. This is completed by agreeing to 7 statements mandated by Transport Canada. Upon successful completion of the questionnaire, you will be authorized to check in for your flight. If you are unable to agree with the 7 statements, we are obligated by Transport Canada to refuse to board you until your health screening indicates it is appropriate to do so. All passengers are required to wear a removable, non-medical face mask that covers the mouth and nose.
Those passengers who choose to check in online will be required to conduct additional temperature screening at the gate for the safety of our passengers, staff and communities.

Identification Policy
Before you leave for the airport, there are a few things to keep in mind: all travellers aged 18 or older flying within Canada are required by the Government of Canada to present identification at check-in and prior to boarding their flight. Make sure you remember your ID before leaving home!
Please ensure that the name and spelling on your ticket or itinerary match your identification - if they don't, we will have to refuse boarding. Make sure you contact us immediately if your name is misspelt.
We're looking forward to welcoming you on-board your flight!
ID Requirements
For information on what types of identification are accepted for travel within Canada, please visit the Government of Canada’s Documents Needed for Air Travel page. In most cases, a valid Passport would be ideal.
Passenger | Requirements |
---|---|
Adults 18 years of age or older | One piece of valid government-issued photo ID that includes name, date of birth, and gender – OR – Two pieces of valid government-issued ID without a photo. One of the two pieces must include name, date of birth, and gender. The name listed on both pieces of ID must match. |
Infants under two years of age | Identification is not required by law, but is recommended. Birth certificate or birth registry are ideal, and photocopies are permitted. |
Children travelling with parents or guardians (ages 2 – 12) | No identification or other documentation is needed as long as they’re travelling with parents or guardians. |
Unaccompanied Minors (ages 5 – 12) | Identification is required. Please visit our Special Travel Requirements and Passenger Assistance page for details about Unaccompanied Minors. |
Children travelling alone (ages 12 – 17) | While ID is not required under the law for children between the ages of 12 and 17, they may be refused boarding if they appear under 12 and don’t have proof of age, or appear 18 years of age or older. As such, we recommend travelling with a birth certificate or non-government ID (e.g., a student card or health care card) that includes date of birth. |

Airports Without Security Screening
Some of the smaller airports we serve do not require security screening. At these airports you must be checked in at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time (though 45 minutes is recommended). We recommend arriving at the airport 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time to allow for a relaxed check-in and boarding process.
This applies to the following airports:
Address
Located 15 km South on the #2 North Klondike Highway.
Dawson City, Yukon
Address
Located 14 km South-East on the #8 Dempster Highway.
Inuvik, Northwest Territories
Address
Located 1.5 nautical miles north of the village
Mayo, Yukon
Address
1 Airport Road
Old Crow, Yukon
Important Advice
- If you’re uncertain about whether your flight will receive security screening, we recommend that you use the required times for flights that are screened—check in at least 45 minutes prior to the flight and arrive at the airport 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
- At the airport, please have your photo ID ready for the check-in agent, and make yourself familiar with our baggage guidelines. If you have speciality baggage requirements (such as oversize items), we recommend allowing an extra 30 minutes for check-in.
- All passengers must be present at the gate no less than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. We may deny boarding to any passenger who are not at the gate before the 15 minute cutoff.
