Air North Interline Agreements

An interline agreement is a collaborative arrangement between two or more airlines that allows passengers to book a single ticket for a multi-airline trip, even if the airlines don't have a formal codeshare agreement. This simplifies the booking process for passengers and allows them to connect flights with different airlines without needing to recheck their baggage or re-check in.

Which airlines does Air North have an interline agreement with?

Air North has five interline agreements:

  1. WestJet

  2. Philippine Airlines

  3. Condor Airlines

  4. Alaska Airlines

  5. China Airlines

PLUS - A baggage agreement with Air Canada.

Thanks to interline agreement with WestJet, your baggage can be transferred between same-day Air North, Yukon’s Airline and WestJet flights, if your booking was made on the same ticket or itinerary through a Travel Agent, or online booking agent, such as Expedia.

Starting your journey with Air North, Yukon’s Airline

Your itinerary showing both Air North and WestJet flights on one booking will be required.

  • When checking in for your Air North flight, let the agent know that you have a same-day connection from your Air North destination airport with a WestJet flight. As long as there is sufficient time between the flights, your luggage will be also be tagged for the connecting flight. 
  • The baggage rules and fees applicable to your Air North booking will apply for the entire journey, as long as your flights between both carriers were booked on the same ticket or itinerary, and showing as part of your PNR (the 6 digit alpha-numeric reservation code).
Starting your journey with WestJet

Your Air North, Yukon’s Airline itinerary or boarding pass will be required.

  • When checking in for your WestJet flight, let the agent know that you have a same-day connection from your WestJet destination airport with an Air North flight. As long as there is sufficient time between the flights, your luggage will be also be tagged for the connecting flight. You will need to need to present your Air North itinerary or boarding pass to complete the process.
  • The baggage rules and fees applicable to your WestJet booking will apply for the entire journey.
Connecting between your flights
  • After arriving at the connecting airport, you may go directly to the gate for your next flight. At some airports, you may need to transit via customs or additional security. Once you arrive at the gate, let the gate agent know as soon as possible that you are a connecting passenger. This will help make sure your baggage is loaded onto the flight.

Important notes and limitations
  • This is only available for same-day connections before midnight local time between Air North and WestJet.
  • Flights between Air North and WestJet are not covered by a baggage transfer agreement. If your flights are booked separately with these airlines, your baggage will not be automatically tagged for connection. In this case, you will need to collect your baggage during your connection stop and have it re-tagged for your next flight. 
  • The arrival date of the initial flight and the departure date of the connecting flight must match.
  • Baggage cannot be transferred without proof of travel (itinerary or boarding passes) for both airlines.
  • Dangerous goods or firearms cannot be transferred between the airlines.
  • Pets travelling as checked baggage cannot be transferred between the airlines.

Your Alaska Airlines itinerary or boarding pass will be required.

  • You can also provide this information ahead of time, if you book via our website or through our call centre. It will then be reconfirmed with you when you check-in at the airport. In both cases, proof of the Alaska Airlines travel (itinerary or boarding pass) will be required.
  • The baggage rules and fees applicable to your Air North booking will apply for the entire journey.

Your Air North, Yukon’s Airline itinerary or boarding pass will be required.

  • When checking in for your Alaska Airlines flight, let the agent know that you have a same-day connection from your Alaska Airlines destination airport with an Air North flight. As long as there is sufficient time between the flights, your luggage will be also be tagged for the connecting flight. You will need to need to present your Air North itinerary or boarding pass to complete the process.
  • The baggage rules and fees applicable to your Alaska Airlines booking will apply for the entire journey.
Connecting between your flights
  • After arriving at the connecting airport, you may go directly to the gate for your next flight. At some airports, you may need to transit via customs or additional security.   • A minimum of 120 minutes between Air North and Alaska Airlines flights is required.
Important notes and limitations
  • This process is only possible for same-day departures before midnight local time between Air North and Alaska Airlines.
  • Baggage cannot be transferred without proof of travel (itinerary or boarding passes) for both airlines.
  • Neither airline can issue boarding passes for the other.
  • Dangerous goods or firearms cannot be transferred between the airlines.
  • Pets travelling as checked baggage cannot be transferred between the airlines.
